Re: Fan, Light and other accessory
the wattage use by 1 FL bulb is equal 2 CFL bulbs.
To ensure each light point can supply sufficient brightness, it need at least 3 CFL bulbs... so does it really energy save??
I feel 3 CFL light is supply more heat…
Plus I not plan to do plaster ceiling nor downlight.
CFL have longer lifespan longer than fluorescent light.
But some down light or decorative light point do not have the ballast (火牛) … the bulb very fast will spoiled, then you might need to change the bulb frequently… some will said they have built-in ballast (火牛) in the light set… dunno lah… isee my parent changing the CFL bulb frequent than the normal fluorescent light.
ps is it the 火牛 = transformer?? should be ballast thanks T
hei~ i not mean Transformer 3 or optimus prime lah hahaha....

Re: Fan, Light and other accessory
火牛 should be AC Adapter..
transformer is 变压器, or 变形金刚
i'm using non-integrated CFL where the ballast is installed within plaster ceiling. the bulb may not be as energy saving as integrated CFL but cheaper and last longer i think.. so far have replaced 1 or 2 only after staying here for 15 months..

Re: Fan, Light and other accessory
thanks yeepie, probably i'll pay them a visit next week and snap some pics share here:)
yeepie, is this type of bulb does not have ballast?
the round leg one include ballast right?
ppl always claimed cf got longer service duration than conventional fluorescent light, from pics below seems different story?
conventional 36W, 15k service hours, 93 lm/W
cf only got 8k service hours
round type cf 22W, 8k service hours, 48 lm/W

tch,
What should I say..you go into so details I'm very lost..haha..maybe I need to ask you regarding this SIFU!!!

Re: Fan, Light and other accessory
ballast + heat = duration/lifespan of a bulb.
TCH, I not check in detail is the osram bulb has built-in ballast or not.
Maybe you can read the specification on the boxes.
If you plan to do plaster ceiling then sure you need to use down light so just do it lah…
I believe Top Ten will giving you the best price but due to they have too many customer they might not have time to explain everything to you.
My advice survey at few more shop as around and get some advice from your wireman
I not doing plaster ceiling coz budget go to baby milk powder and diapers haha… just install normal fluorescent light. Price is RM14 but have SIRIM approval at all parts and Panasonic bulb. But will install deco light at dinning and balcony.
I not help any shop to do promotion or get any benefit from them... just sharing info...
the fluorescent light set and fan is pruchase from YT next door of Top Ten.
i not go for best price coz i'm looking for SIRIM approval set and consider the bulb brand that include in the set.
for KDK FAN they are authorized dealer, price is ok than sengheng, ESH and Onking so after sales service should be fine... coz i buying remote type, scare remote got problem...
YT will help me install curtain rail, RM5 per feet for double railing.
I found curtain railing at Kamdar is cheaper but they cut the 10ft railing to 2 part.
10ft railing is RM33+ per feet. I will share detail info at curtain topic…

i got limited budget also, think of doing plain vanilla plaster ceiling just to conceal aircon piping, wirings and wavy wall lines inherit from PC poor workmanship
actualy i prefer fluorescent light, seems served me longest life span regardless of what advertisement claim:p if use cf light have to plan the location else might create a lot of hard shadows, some more not really efficient if used up too much (stingy man idea )

nice one yeepie! think i'll floow your paths as limited time to survey ard, as long don't kaput within a week's time i consider it's quality product:p
how much is the KDK fan? i just want the normal type, don't need remote else i'll wasting time finding where my remote hidden but i don't want those standard white color fan, maybe silver or some deco type fan will do, 3 or 5 blades does not matter coz i'm always on minimum speed since AH is quite breezy all the time:)
railling i think can get at hardware store, but using private car to bring it back definately is issue for me since sliding glas door need at least 10 feet long
as for curtain need to consult the ladies, i'm noob on this, just try to buy some material and get tailor to custom made.

Re: Fan, Light and other accessory
normal Fan only have 3 blade, RM118 for white. Color ony not sure.
Just visit the shop i mention, it located at the 1st row of shop when you take the u-turn for Tesco.
Keep left lane, taking the 1st exit at your left.
If you miss the exit then just do a big turn behind the tesco will do.

Re: Fan, Light and other accessory
KDK 5 blade K14Y9-GY RM265 is standard for the shop nearby there..
There is another metallic color K14Y9-MP is around RM280.
Remember open the box and check the part one by one personally before leaving the shop.
This is the weakness of purchasing cheap fan from light shop… if missing part very difficult to chase back from them. I already hear a lot complain they post at net to said this shop owner wat wat wat…
That shop after sales service tis tis tis…
So remember only belief at wat you see, check it properly before leaving the shop.
KDK fan price from another 2 shop before TopTen
K15V0 RM118 (white)
K12V0 RM120
K14X8-GY RM233
K14Y9-GY RM265
K14Y9-MP RM280
Fan price for TopTen, pay by credit card
KDK
K15V0 RM120 (white)
K14X8-GY RM238
K14Y9-GY RM268
PANA
FM15B0 RM115
FM14C8 RM233
FM14D9 RM272/281 not sure…
Price pay by cash is cheaper a bit.

The HQ near the F&N building.
Always ask for discount.
Reasonable price but beware of the taps and accesories....
