I noticed at least 2 families have moved into AH2.

I get the quote at Serdang Raya, you can try ask them if you want.
This paint shop have 2 shop lots which have Jotun sign on it, in between is a shop that sell door.
Nearby is TNB shop.

They said color they can mix for you, but if the wall not flat enough… if using pearl glo it will clearly show the uneven wall.

Run out of budget, just use pentalite easy clean can liao

Fren, Pentalite Easy Clean not cheap also leh.
Agree that matt finishing is better than glossy type unless u r planning to skim coat the wall.

RM80-85 x 10 = RM800 - 850 is still in my budget Razz

1 tin 18-20 L Jotun white paint
1 tin 5L paint for door & door frame
1 or 2 packet "stoping" or white cement for touch-up

Budget is around 1.3K for whole unit.

Standard colour (means ready in can no need mixing) is cheaper. If you ask them to mix then the price is much higher. Not all colour in the catalogue is standard colour. Paint usage depends a lot on the colour you choose. Original colour is white, so if you are going to paint some big contrast colour, you most probably need to paint many coats to get it right.
Why use white cement? Cement when dry will shrink and crack if you use too much moisture. Or you mean the plaster? If plaster go for the big pail if you are fussy about your wall.

Did they main door really look that bad? I thought it was kinda nice so I didn't paint over it even after I had bought the paint.

tch, include it in your defect checklist and ask developer to paint.. if still not satisfactory then inly paint urself lo...
Going to check my unit this Saturday, dunno they paint it nicely onot..
Anyway, paint material have many types, even for ceiling and plaster ceiling have different considerations.. will come to a fortune if u believe wat certain contractors tell u.

GW, yes, i've asked them to repaint, expesially balcony and master room already peeling off the very first day i received the house Evil or Very Mad

personally i rather developer leave that way for paint, they mix too much cements in their paint for walls to save cost, later need to spend more time to skim out to repaint. No

Wall paint yes. But according to the defect uncle ah Sang, if u report in defect, they dont mix anything when repaint. They use Jotun paint. But first first developer paint, he also not sure.
Cos i told him the walls are so powdery and he said it is developer paint.
Not sure true onot.

I think it is very hard if want to skim the wall as defect. Especially now they have so many units pending.

GW, as long don't locate your downlight too close to wall i think some rough wall surface is negligible Smile
