Curtain Holder (Hanger) : Pricing
I am doing some survey about curtain hanger (kayu jati) pricing.
RM450 including installation fees
1. 9 feet for living room
2. 9 feet + 3 feet for master room + L-shape
3. 5 feet * 2 for other room.
4. Installation fee is RM60 and RM25 for petrol fee, so total is RM85
This price ok or not?

Re: Curtain – custom make or ready make??
how much??
You only do it for living room? Does you let Macy help you do the curtain rail or by renovation contractor? Still remember the price?

Kelvin,
Ok thanks.
GW, I not sure for the wood hanger, but if is the normal rail it can bended to be L-shape.
I saw ppl DIY it before, but the rail is too long so still think about either let contractor do it or curtain shop install for me.

Re: Curtain – custom make or ready make??
It's not hard if u have the right tools...
But then again, it's not how hard it is but how lazy we are... kekekke...
Shop around for best price...Macy or Home's Harmony can give good price during sales. Ready made is the best if u r not fussy... no waiting time....

The one I bought from Macy (for the living room) is also not a whole complete length. They join the thing (2-piece) during installations.

Re: Curtain – custom make or ready make??
my curtain is ready made (with slight customization), i purchased the rails from hardware shop near 7-11 and carry it with my car, stick out the window and tie a red flag (plastic bag in red ) to the end (the worker there will help you out with that). not very far so no big deal
at first use a cheap hammer drill with incorrect drillbit and spoilt the drillbit. later using right drillbit but find it hard to penetrate the wall.. borrowed a better drill (Bosch), still not power enough, mainly because i'm inexperience after that borrowed an industrial drill from my wife's office, drilling on shear wall was like drilling on bean curb (okay that's exaggerated )
oh by the way, mine is not corner unit so no issue with L shape window
whole thing cost me around RM900.. but i would rather pay more to get a custom made with free installation

Got that hard meh? I only use a cheap no brand drill. Did u set it to the hammer action?
BTW, installation is not free just bundled in...

Re: Curtain – custom make or ready make??
hmm.. now i can conclude that it's hard for me was because i'm incompetent in using the hammer drill ..

HQ is in Balakong (or someone mentioned Sungai Besi). Wisma Minlon is the name.
More choices in HQ.
