This weekend also got Homedec at KLCC. I think it starts today. Planning to go also. So many places to go, so little time. Sigh...

Went to Homedec over the weekend and got our Plasma TV. Now looking for home theatre. I did sample some but couldn't come to a conclusion so didn't buy any in Homedec. Anybody have any recommendations? Any brand to avoid? Any good experience? Anybody using wireless rear speakers?

RM3499. Free a cheap digital camera. 5 years manufacturer warranty (include parts, labour, etc.). 1 HDMI cable + 1 s-video cable. Paid another RM250 for the wall mount bracket (include installation charges).

Panasonic Viera 42" TH-P42S10K. During the exhibition, the LCD and the plasma was placed side by side. Plasma looks slightly better.

No comments on the home theatre? Anyone?

Plasma dun have refresh rate (Hz) classified one, only LCD have. It's very fast so no motion blur issue which is one of the reason why I choose plasma over LCD. For around the same price can only get LCD with 50Hz refresh rate.

The home theatre I dun wan too expensive one. Sony around 1k can get which model? I dun want 5.1 unless the rear speakers can be connected wirelessly. I dun intend to do any hacking to conceal the wires. That day at Homedec I did try out a 3.1 from Sony. Not too bad but I should have brought along my own disc to test.

Funny, the best place I bought my Panasonic 32" LCD TV for a great price (plus free HDMI cable) was at a Courts outlet, during X'Mas sales last year.

For us Aman II owners, I think we can wait until next year before FIFA World Cup starts, surely the best time to buy a latest generation TV.....

if you not watching astro, for sure 42inch LCD is the best choice.
for LCD if it was me, I will choose samsung. Sony although good but I feel it is over price for the same range of spec
