maybe it all depends on the place u purchase. Some is sales and service center where they got their own certified technician for it. so If that shop provide good service then it is possible I guess. :p

after some googling.. i think KDK is actually part of Panasonic corporation.. both KDK and Panasonic fans are manufactured by Panasonic Ecology Systems so basically they are sharing same design and parts.. differences only the color scheme and obviously product name.. and probably the after sales service..

on KDK's website, it's mentioned KDK does provides outdoor service, you can even fill up online form to request for service..

now that raised my eyebrows though not sure how well it works..

anyway i'm seriously tight in budget so may have to opt for cheaper one or those KDK/Panasonic entry level fans ):

that's the thing! not sure how reliable those brands are.. i don't want to spend extra for any issue encountered later.. euro uno sounds good with 10 years warranty, can look into it Very Happy

Did some more survey over the weekends...

SenQ IOI Mall:
Panasonic 1 hp : RM1099 + RM125 + RM8/ft
Panasonic 2 hp : RM2249 + RM180 + RM12/ft
If u r SenQ member, warranty = 1+1 year
If have RHB-SenQ credit card, warranty = 1+2 year

TBM, Cheras:
Panasonic 1 hp : RM1050 + RM150 + RM7/ft
Panasonic 2 hp : RM2100 + RM250 + RM11/ft
1-year warranty

Shop in Equine Park (Daikin signboard):
Panasonic 1 hp : RM1080 + RM140 + RM7/ft
Panasonic 2 hp : RM2130 + RM220 + RM11/ft
1-year warranty

Anyone got even better deals?

kenot conceal la bro..final word..even like ur reno got approval they said will have the clause.. not the particular walls..so no choice..

If like that really sucks. All my plaster ceiling also have to change design already. Stupid!!! Why go through all the reno approval if they can be responsible for it anyway. Said reno application approved but when ask in detail said no. Argghhh.... !!!!!!! What a waste of time.

Plaster ceiling still needed to conceal the piping but more from the aircond point all the way to the yard. The hacking mentioned was the initial plan to hack a little bit of the wall so that the piping will not show above the aircond unit. If they have told me earlier I wouldn't need to go back to the contractor again now to requote everything. And to think that I've paid a deposit.

Kumar, what about the one in the living room? That one also cannot hack?

not to worry much.. issac..
the living room no issue.. same wif old plan.. room just at the side where the cooper piping suppose to sealed.. that wall kenot be hacked since it the main wall.. but can hide wif casing..

anyway let me confirm this from the a/c guy.. there will no extra charge one laa

Casing damn ugly lah. Aircond guy sure no extra charge coz we're reducing his work (maybe can even ask for discount :-) ). It's the plaster ceiling that I'm concerned about. Those AH people really wasted my time... I'm gonna go screw them when I get back to KL.
