Air Conditioner & Fans

Post by thedude on Mon Jul 27, 2009 7:58 am

I'm sure most if not all will be installing aircond in their unit.
I'm planning to put a 1hp for the master bedroom and a 2 hp for the living room.
I'm currently using a 1hp Panasonic inverter unit but after 1 year got sound already.
Have anyone tried LG before? The Art Cool model looks nice.
Or do u have some other recommendations?

LG products only good looking..not long lasting..go for japan products..or york..
and if you are not gonna used the ac for long or everyday just get the one w/o inverter.. save cost...

not dont allow..its because of the ready made piping that made by the condo kenot support inverter..maybe bcoz of tat..

p/s do u guys realise how to hide the piping for a/c living room unit.. looks like i need to put plaster ceiling n lower the ceiling in that area, to cover the piping..

interested with the yuragi feature, KDK's version should be relatively cheaper compare to Panasonic's but still quite expensive.. almost twice the price of conventional ceiling fan..

Depends on what model. Should be around 260 and above. Yuragi and temp sensor will cost much more. The yuragi thing, I've read about it BUT have not "experience" it. Anyone "feel" it before? It's suppose to simulate natural wind or so I've read. So far have not found one on display to "try".

yuragi stands for what? is it the brand or some technology like sensor? I think i just need some quiet and strong wind fans.. haha.. so that it wont disturb my home theather sound.. oh ya.. one more thing, the fans point is at the center of the house, which is around our dining table area, so, i believe it cant provided any wind to our living area rite? the tv area i mean... hhmm..

Yuragi is suppose to simulate natural breeze. The fan supposingly blow fast and slow to make it feel like natural wind. Or so the ad says...

The price I got for LG is the LG Neo Plasma Plus series.

RM 960 (1hp) and RM2100 (2hp) (note that this might not be the cheapest)

Beunos brochure RM1109 (exclude installation ???).
Difference = + RM149.

Assume 2 units, regardless of hp also is RM149 diff., total = + RM298

LG 32" LCD TV = RM1099
2 x HDMI, no full HD

eBay price = RM1429 (shop can get cheaper ???)

Diff. = RM330

So theoretically u save RM32 unless the aircond comes bundled with installation. If include installation, then I'll take 2.
Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Not trying to sabo u Cathy but how about just lump in the installation charges in the price since you'll be doing the plaster ceiling also. Win-win for everyone mah. Ok or not?

well this is wat quoted to me the other day by cathy

only fixing aircond 1HP in master room = rm600 , the other 2 rooms rm 690 , living rm550 if taking plaster ceiling package + rm3850 for palster ceiling..

i trie finding out outside the fixing charge only half of wat quoted..not sure why so much difference since both party also do as bussiness... maybe coz beunos branded kot..

anyway..havent decided yet.. lookslike too much for me.. maybe stick wif ceiling fans ...

Normal aircond installation price is around RM130. But then again, ours is extra long. Anybody else gotten a quote from somewhere else?

yeah, I actually dun know is it good to be that long? I worry bout leaking also later. I actually wana ask for long time, why the reserve place for aircond in AH is so funny. It should be close to living room and master room because this is the 2 common aircond installation place =.=
