Post by madoct10 on Sat Apr 23, 2011 6:44 pm

Hi! I am buyer of AH2 19th floor.

Anyone has done any survey yet? The price sure hike up if compared when AH 1 renovation....悲....悲

I planned to do simple plaster ceiling, simple kitchen, aircondition(do i need in every room???heard that its quite cool in BS area),wardrobe.......

My budget is ciputttttttttt.

I also thinking of do minimum. KC and master wardrobe, wiring and paint, grills, lights and fans and aircon, master bed and mattress. Electrical appliances just water heater, fridge and washing machine/dryer.
At least will cost me 20-25k Sad

Furniture for whole house = Sofa from Macy plus mix and match Living room set + master Bed room set & Dining set from Red Apple total around 9k plus.
Aircond is a headache, maybe get Daikin inverter aircond (R22)... source from internet said it using normal piping same as non-inverter.
Hope this can solve piping issue, due to we not allow hacking the shear wall...
Wet kitchen... minor reno at yard to transform it to be “tiny” Kitchen. Still need to check with management for “do and don’t” haiz…
Sliding window to seal the yard
Grill at main entrance
Ventilating fan for yard (no need hood) and toilets (hope can install it)
Maybe can settle everything within 20K…

Yeepie, if u do wet kitchen, still got space for washing machine and dryer? If seal the yard, can hang the clothes at balcony?
I think u will overbudget unless u not planning to do wardrobe and the "dry" kitchen area.

price for built-in wardrobe, kitchen cabinet is varying depend on what type of material you choose, those come in promotion package is not durable as we thought...

after surveying the review of many user, i found a lot weakness on those built-in furniture. Unless we can open one eyes close one eyes and accept it lor...

Many of us maybe knew that solid surface top look very nice but hard to maintain, surface is easy to get scratch and change color if you put something HOT on it. A 10 feet length solid surface top can cause you RM2000+, Rm2000+ only for the top not the entire base unit Rolling Eyes

Some said granite top better... but it is hard to find Sifu that really have skills the to polish it and the cost is expensive.

so i still struggling whether or not to do it.

My 20K budget is without wardrobe and built-in KC cabinet.
It is included minor wiring, aircond, wet kc, furnitures, mattress, lighting and TV.
I already have fridge, washing machine and bedroom furnitures for other 2 bedroom.

Currently i'm staying in condo, i feel that it is not really needs to fit a aircond in living hall coz it already very windy. So i only pasang satu biji aircond can ady... indirectly saving our mother of earth lol!

Ventilating fan is more efficient and quiet than the hood, it also have Oil Collector with indicator...
check it out Arrow KDK or Panasonic

alot of alternative way to do in small budget, but we still can get all the basic thing for a small family Razz

i already measured it still have place for me to put the 7kg auto WM + dryer in wet kitchen.

yes i will seal it with sliding window as they do in AH1.

have check out how Ah1 resident hang their laundry?? so the answer is fit a hanger on the balcony wall... Laughing

So many things to do in so little time. Just hope that the workmanship of PC is "acceptable". I dont hope that it is perfect but at least minor touch up or repair. Else it will be some time taken for rectification.

yap_ben : thanks giving us a chance to quote you. You also can compare price with other contractor, if you feel expensive then is ok. Atleast we got a chance for each party. You also can visit my house. Maybe not luxury like showroom, but atleast is our standard living environment la..haha...
